Prince Harry’s Plea: A Royal Return Or Too Little, Too Late?

Prince Harry’s BBC interview seems a plea for reacceptance, but after public fallout, royal rifts, and Meghan’s controversial rise, forgiveness appears unlikely in this ongoing royal saga

Prince Harry’s Plea: A Royal Return Or Too Little, Too Late?

Reading about Prince Harry’s interview to the BBC came as no surprise. This was inevitable, and this interview was actually an appeal to the Royal family to reaccept him into the family fold. When he lost his lawsuit demanding security during his visits to the UK, the British public felt (and quite rightly so!) that as he was no longer a working royal, the taxpayer was under no obligation to foot his security expenses, especially after all the vitriol he had spewed against the Royals.

Looking at snippets of the interview, he came across as a spoilt little boy who when he hadn’t got what he wanted, had thrown a tantrum. After the millions made by making a Netflix documentary and using the royal name to bag endorsements and other lucrative deals, not to mention the tell-all book he wrote, he now had the audacity to expect the British public to bear the expenses for his security while in the UK. The sense of entitlement and privilege he has is astonishing and any sympathies that the British public initially might have had for him are well and truly gone after all his transgressions.

Meghan, judging by the type of background she hails from, it comes as no surprise that she used her royal connections and title to give a jumpstart to her acting career, apart from forming connections and making millions by bagging advertisements and endorsements. She loves being in the limelight and beneath that smiling exterior, is as hard as nails and of course, an avaricious little upstart. Apparently, as time goes by, more and more unsavoury truths are being revealed about her background (or lack of it!).

It’s time for Harry to man up, accept all responsibility for his follies, and start building bridges

Right from the beginning, she was determined to claw her way to the top, and when she married Harry, a B-grade actress, she was suddenly launched into the limelight. Although she met Harry on a blind date or so it is widely believed, it was all part of a conspiracy to trap him, marry him and then use her newfound fame, wealth, and position to lend fresh impetus to her acting career and utilise her royal connections to make hay while the sun shines!
Harry, being the fool he is, was so besotted by her feminine viles and charms that she led him by the nose and he being the dutiful husband, kept dancing to her tune. In doing so, he single-handedly destroyed the reputation he had so painstakingly forged over all these years and severed all ties with his immediate family. He very quickly lost all respect he had gained over the years and by cutting all ties with his family, was completely at the mercy of his spouse. That was what she had planned all along and now had cleverly isolated him and manipulated him into a corner where he had no one to turn to anymore.

When this realisation dawned on Harry, he tried to make amends, but it was too little, too late. He had reached the point of no return and there was no turning back now. Instead of apologising and begging for mercy from the King and his brother, he had chosen to use the BBC to mediate on his behalf and, through them, made a plea for forgiveness. However, he had burned all his boats and at one point in time, one of the most popular members of the royal family had lost all respect and credibility he had in the eyes of the British public. Any sympathies they might have had for him had gone up in smoke.

Will Harry be accepted back into the royal fold? Will he become a working royal again? The chances are very slim, and his wife, Meghan, will never return to the UK. She is despised by the British public and they see her for what she is – a gold digger who will stop at nothing to get what she wants. All she could milk and extract from this royal connection, she very cleverly did and will continue doing so. Her husband is neither here nor there and appears to be a lost soul who has destroyed everything and is now begging for forgiveness from his estranged father and brother.

How will this royal saga unfold? It’s time for Harry to man up, accept all responsibility for his follies, and start building bridges. After all, blood is thicker than water and his family, background, and lineage anchor him and make him who he is. High time to make amends and salvage what little is left before that too is destroyed and there is nothing to fall back on. May better sense prevail!
