Physically-Challenged Man Killed In Ghotki Over Alleged Blasphemy
A physically-challenged man was killed on Saturday in Ghotki district over "alleged blasphemy".

Police claimed to have nabbed suspect Hassan Kalwar, according to BBC Urdu. Hassan had been warning the deceased against prostrating before graves, according to an FIR of the incident. The suspect had threatened the deceased, a shrine caretaker, of dire consequences if he did not abstain from doing so.

The brother of the deceased said he was present at the shrine of Lal Shah when the suspect arrived there along with another individual on the morning of Saturday. He said the suspect was carrying a bottle of petrol with him. The suspect, he said, had then doused petrol on the deceased.

The brother of the deceased said his panicking physically challenged brother had fled from the spot only to fall in a nearby pond. The suspect had pursued him there, he said.

The brother of the deceased said the suspect had deliberately drowned the shrine caretaker there.
