Daily Express (02 April 2018) quoted Tahir-ul-Qadri as saying that as the decisive hour (faislon ki ghari) approached, the screams (cheekhein) had increased accordingly. He further reiterated his earlier position that Nawaz Sharif is a security risk and a tool of foreign powers.
Age of outrage
Daily Express (02 April 2018) reported that singer Rabi Pirzada became the target of outrage on social media after she posted a picture of herself with horses, and quoted anti-colonial icon M. K. Gandhi on how nations ought to be judged by their treatment of animals. This prompted anger amongst a number of her followers, who were annoyed that she had quoted a Hindu leader despite human rights violations in India.

According to Daily Jang (02 April 2018), Imran Khan expressed his view that the rulers (hukmran) go to London for treatment even when they have a sore throat (galla kharaab). He stated that once his party took power, Pakistanis would no longer have to go abroad for jobs – but that people will come to Pakistan from other countries for jobs. He also promised to make the Punjab police just like the KP police.

Daily Jang (02 April 2018) quoted Maryam Nawaz as saying that Nawaz Sharif was about to complete a half-century of court appointments. She further asked whether there was anyone who could bring back a dictator who defied the Constitution.
Why Nawaz was thwarted…
Captain (R.) Safdar, according to Daily Express (03 April 2018), opined that Nawaz Sharif’s way was being blocked but his forehead had “Made in Pakistan” written on it. He further added that some people were afraid that the ousted PM was about to bring about reforms in the last year of his term, and so he was removed from power.
Draconian
Daily Jang (03 April 2018) reported that Traffic Wardens and members of the Dolphin Police in Lahore beat up an elderly resident, raining slaps on his face and ripping up his clothes – for driving on the wrong side. Senior police officials have taken notice of the incident.
Rendezvous
Lahore’s Dolphin Police, it was reported by Daily Express (05 April 2018), arrested a man accused of robbing another individual of a mobile phone and Rs. 65,000 in cash. He did this by luring his victim to meet by first befriending him on Facebook.
Mystery government
Sheikh Rasheed was quoted by Daily Express (05 April 2018) as saying that Nawaz Sharif’s mental state was worthy of pity (qabil-e-rahm). He further asked who was running the government, considering that the current PM said he was not the PM and Nawaz Sharif said that his party was not in power.
In the end…
According to Daily Dunya (07 April 2018), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that Imran Khan had ruled out voting for the former’s party, but that in the Senate, he did eventually end up voting for their Deputy Speaker. Bilawal added that the ink had not yet dried from Imran’s thumb, having voted for the PPP. He predicted that Imran would support them again.
Accountability – Zardari style
Asif Ali Zardari of the PPP, according to Daily Nawa-i-Waqt (08 April 2018), stated that when the time was right, his party would settle accounts with Nawaz Sharif (waqt aanay pe Mian sahib se hisaab lein ge). He added that he had saved Nawaz many times, but that he could not be reformed (sudhar na sakay).
Mistaken Zardari?
PTI chief Imran Khan was quoted by Daily Nawa-i-Waqt (08 April 2018) as saying that Zardari held the mistaken impression that the provincial government of Punjab could be gained by paying money (paisa chalaa kar) as was the case with the Senate.
