Karachi: A successful 21-day media training program for Pakistani journalists was organized by Zhejiang Normal University, with the support of the Chinese Consulate Karachi. The program saw the participation of 17 journalists from various provinces of Pakistan. Its primary objective was to align Pakistani media representatives with global journalistic standards and provide them the opportunity to gain insights from Chinese media practices.
Journalists from Balochistan, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Gilgit-Baltistan participated in the training. The program aimed to educate participants on journalistic principles, modern reporting techniques, and media ethics. Editors, reporters, and filmmakers from various media houses shared their expertise, teaching global journalistic standards.
The training included several sessions designed to enhance cooperation between the media sectors of China and Pakistan, covering topics such as reporting accuracy, story formation, and media formats like video reporting and documentary filmmaking. Journalists found these sessions valuable and expressed a commitment to improving their professional standards.
In addition to the training, participants explored Chinese culture and history through visits to various literary and cultural museums. These excursions offered insights into Chinese civilization, literature, and arts, helping the journalists appreciate the significance of global cultural diversity.
The participants described the training program as a great success, calling it a memorable and enriching experience. They emphasized that such programs not only enhance journalistic skills but also strengthen media relations between China and Pakistan.
