Karachi: Businessman and philanthropist Anosh Ahmed organized a grand Mehfil-e-Milad at the Karachi Press Club to mark the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The event, held in collaboration with the Karachi Press Club, brought together hundreds of attendees, including journalists from electronic, print, and digital media, many of whom were accompanied by their families. Dedicated as Eesal-e-Sawab for his late father, Nadeem Muhammad Ahmed, the gathering was both deeply spiritual and personally meaningful.
The program featured some of Pakistan’s most respected naat khawans, whose soulful tributes created an atmosphere of reverence and devotion. Legendary reciter Alhaj Siddique Ismail led the Mehfil with his iconic voice, while other renowned naat khawans such as Faisal Hassan Naqshbandi, Muhammad Asad Ayub, Muhammad Zubair, and Sumair Ahmed delivered heartfelt renditions. Adding a special touch, several journalist-naat khawans, including Hafiz Salman Tariq, Ayaz Siddiqui, Wajid Hussain Ansari, Sibt-e-Hassan, and Shafiq Ahmed, also took part. Senior journalist A.H. Khanzada hosted the evening, smoothly guiding the audience through each segment of the program.
In his remarks, Anosh Ahmed emphasized that Eid Milad-un-Nabi is more than a celebration—it is a reminder to embody the teachings of the Prophet (PBUH). He highlighted the importance of unity, compassion, and peace, urging the audience to adopt the Seerah as a guiding principle in their lives. “The Prophet’s life is a complete guide for humanity, and following it is the key to building a better society,” he said. He also expressed his gratitude to the Karachi Press Club for their partnership in making the event successful.
A major highlight of the night was the lucky draw for a luxury five-star Umrah package, exclusively for journalists, which added excitement and joy to the occasion. Shields were also distributed to the participating naat khawans and the Karachi Press Club leadership in appreciation of their support. The event concluded with a grand feast, where traditional food was served, reinforcing the evening’s themes of hospitality and unity.
