Woman divorced for sending daughter to Qadri’s march

Nai Baat reports (September 5, 2014) that a man divorced his wife for sending their daughter to Tahirul Qadri’s protest in Islamabad. He said he had been unhappy with his wife and three daughters going to Minhajul Quran events. When the girl returned home after 26 days and he asked her why she had left home without permission, he said said his wife and daughters beat him up, ripped off his clothes, and then called 15 accusing him of violence.
Jamshed Dasti’s mother refuses to allow him to resign

Reported in Jang (September 5, 2014) parliamentarian Jamshed Dasti, who had recently joined the PTI, declined to resign from the National Assembly saying his mother had stopped him from doing so. He left the protests in Islamabad and flew to Dubai.
