Reported in Nawa-e-Waqt (November 1, 2015) a voter in the local council election in Lahore took the voting stamp home with him. The voting process slowed down because the polling station was left with only one stamp.

According to Dunya (November 2, 2015) a tiger cub at the outhouse of the Punjab law minister has a collar around its neck, which is a violation of wildlife law. It is illegal to collar a tiger.

3,000 fake Pakistani businessmen disappeared in UK
Reported in Jang (November 4, 2015) more than 3,000 Pakistanis who arrived on business visas in Britain last year disappeared during their stay, according to a British report. A family arrived in the country to set up a printing press like the one they claimed to have in Pakistan, but they turned out to have no printing press in Pakistan and no money to set one up in Britain.
Haggling shopkeeper hard on the ear
According to Express (November 5, 2015) a shopkeeper chewed off a customer’s ear in Gujranwala after the latter insisted on paying Rs 40 instead of Rs 50 for the potatoes he bought.
Man loses election to nephew in coin toss
Nawa-e-Waqt reports (November 5, 2015) a local council election in Chakwal was tied after a man and his nephew bagged an equal number of votes. They agreed on a coin toss, and the nephew belonging to the PTI won the seat.
NADRA denies identity card to identical twin
Dunya reports (November 6, 2015) NADRA declined to give an identity card to one of two twin sisters in Rahimyar Khan because the two looked alike. The other sister complained to the interior ministry because she needed an identity card to enroll in university.
Belarus delegation awed by Shahbaz Sharif’s Russian
Express says (November 6, 2015) the trade minister of Belarus and his delegation were surprised (khushgawar hairat ka izhar) when they heard Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif speaking Russian fluently. They said they were happy that the chief executive of Pakistan’s largest province is so skilled in Russian language.
Three-month bill for house that has no gas connection

Dead man appointed election officer
Nawa-e-Waqt reports (November 7, 2015) the man appointed the returning officer at a local council polling station in Toba Tek Singh had died of a heart attack four years ago. The schedule for election training was also released.
