Reported in Nai Baat (September 23, 2014) famous comedian Iftikhar Thakur was fined for using mobile phone while driving. I am a fan but you violated the law, said the traffic warden. Iftikhar Thakur smiled and said thank you.
Traffic cop beats up motorist

Express reports (September 24, 2014) a traffic warden beat up a motorist who was accompanied by his family. When his family cried for help, people began to gather, and the traffic warden fled.

Actress Veena Malik’s newborn baby has already opened a Twitter account, according to a report in Nawa-e-Waqt (September 25, 2014). Maulana Tariq Jamil recited Azaan to the baby on telephone from Madina.
Israel paying for Imran Khan’s protest campaign

The money for Imran Khan’s protest campaign is coming from Israel, according to PPP leader Sharjeel Memon, quoted in Jang (September 26, 2014). He told the Sindh Assembly the money had been sent to topple the government.
Passengers left on runway after plane parks in wrong slot

Nawa-e-Waqt says (September 26, 2014) a PIA flight from Islamabad to Karachi was parked in the wrong slot, putting the lives of the passengers at risk. An hour later, the crew disappeared leaving the passengers on the runway.
We could beat India in space race if I had funds: Dr Qadir

Quoted in Express (September 27, 2014) famous nuclear scientist Abdul Qadir Khan says if he had the funds, he would have put Pakistan’s satellite in space before India. I asked Musharraf for $50 million for the purpose, but he refused. India has left us behind and reached Mars, but all its cities are vulnerable (nishanay par hain) and that was a sign of Pakistan’s integrity (salmiyat ki nishani).
Theater comedy duel ends up in police station

Reported in Nai Baat (September 27, 2014), famous comedians Naseem Vicky and Abida Baig began to fight during a play in Alfalah Theater, and the latter went to the police asking them to register a case for physical and verbal abuse. Theater elders intervened for a rapprochement. Naseem Vicky said Abida Baig had cursed his children. Abida Baig said Naseem Vicky has become proud (dimagh saatvain asmaan pe pohonch gya hai) since he did a show in India.

A doctor and his friend were beaten up by a traffic warden in Lahore after he stopped their motorcycle, according to a report in Express (September 28, 2014). When people began to gather, the traffic warden fled.
Maulana’s spokesman fired for threatening Imran
