Pakistan's growth is linked with the growth of the SMEs [Small and Medium Enterprises], said speakers at a business huddle in Karachi, on Saturday.

The Iftar dinner was organized by Pakistan Business Forum (Karachi chapter) for the representatives of SMEs, at the city's Faran Club. 

The event was called in continuation of the Forum's agreement with Grow Safe, a HSE [health, safety and environment] company, which will provide the enterprises with consultancy, training and certifications.

Addressing the participants at Faran Club, Sohail Aziz, PBF Karachi chapter President said 'Mera Brand Pakistan' aimed to strengthen SMEs and local brands.

Saad Zuberi, Director and CEO Lucky One and Nameer Ahmed, Manager Talent Acquisition HUBCO, who were the guests of honour at the event, termed Pakistan's growth linked with the growth of SMEs. 

On the occasion, office bearers of Grow Safe apprised the SMEs about the MoU, and spoke at length with Mr. Zuberi about the organization's nature and scope.

The HSE company was represented by Anas Khan, Director Finance and Supply Chain, Sohail Anjum Khan, Head of HR, OD and Manpower, Usman Dawood Barry, Head of Training & Consultancy, Talha Shahid, Head of Corporate Sales, and Muzzamil Safdar, Deputy Manager, HSE Trainings.

At the conclusion, Mr. Sohail presented honourary shields to the guests of honour, while Anas Khan presented company souvenirs to them. 

Earlier, General Secretary PBF Amir Rafi enlightened the participants on the importance of Holy Ramadan. 

On February 28, Saad Abdul Wahab Khan, Director & CEO Grow Safe, and Mr. Sohail signed the MoU, seeking upgradation of the SMEs and earning them international accreditation.
