The recent weather in Karachi shows how much environmental stress the city is under. Over the past week, extreme dryness and dust-filled winds have made the air difficult to breathe, affecting both the environment and the daily lives and health of the people living there.

In October 2025, hospitals in the city reported 150–200 patients each day with flu-like symptoms such as high fever, body aches, and cough, and daily emergency visits reached 1,200–1,600.
