The author holds a PhD in Physics from the US and has served as Professor of Physics, Dean of Science, and Project Director of Nanophysics at Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad. A former Senior Associate at ICTP, Trieste, he has received the Abdus Salam Prize, Sitara-e-Imtiaz, and Pride of Performance for his contributions to science and education. He has also been an Advisor at COMSTECH, focusing on food security, water, biodiversity, environment, and innovation, and served as Focal Person for the OIC-15 Science and Technology Cooperation Platform.
