Long-lost friends

We hear The Man of Steel’s Dar-ling happened to be in a VIP lounge at Beijing airport the other day when he espied a familiar face. The other gent, too, sprang to his feet and the two embraced like long-lost friends. The gent applauded Dar-ling on his stellar performance as Finance Minister, and Dar-ling returned the compliment by saying he was following in the gent’s renowned footsteps. Dear reader, if you haven’t guessed already, Dar-ling’s “long-lost friend” was none other than Shortcut Aziz, Mush’s one-time min of fin and premier.

Good impression

Our mole in khaki informs us that the Lone Ranger and commander who met Bill in a recent meeting in Karachi, came away with a good impression of the young man. We hear Bill took notes and was serious and attentive. We also hear that the octogenarian gent who seems to have Sinned, admitted that the commanders had told him about the activities of the party stalwarts who support various criminal gangs in Lyari, and that he’d done nothing about it. Why? Because, said the octogenarian gent, his hands were tied.

Change of domicile

Rumour has it that the Baloch min’s domicile is being changed so that he can take up a more important duty. He’s currently domiciled in the province after which he’s named. There’s a plan afoot to make him a Sindhi so that he can replace the current Guv should the need arise. Needless to say, if that happens, The Great Khan’s trolls will keep a judicious silence and refrain from throwing invective at this “opportunism” because the Baloch will have the khakis’ blessings.
