Diary of a Social Butterfly

Diary of a Social Butterfly
Aik tau being popular is also such a big burden na. Honestly, I so totally understand kay Angelina and Brad Pitts kya feel kartay hain. Now take me only. Every night these days I’m getting three three invitations – oho baba party season jo chal raha hai. Kaheen dinner, kaheen gaana, kaheen shaadi. Like a socialist marry go around. And you have to show face everywhere otherwise people personally take kar lataay hain. Har cheez kai apnay rules hain. For instant, if you go to a GT for 20 minutes tau log mind nahin kartay but if you go to a gaana for just 2 minutes for which your hosts have shelved out thirty lakhs, tau their faces swell up like balloons. And if you go to a dinner tau then you have to wait for the khaana. But obviously if you’re invited to a celeb’s house or a power couple’s then tau it’s a different matter altogather. Then tau no matter how bore the company, how ganda the food, how far the house, you come at the theek time and you stay till the bitter end. Haina?

Uff, these muscle relaxants I’m taking na, they mess up your mammary. So what was I saying? Haan, sitting down dinner parties. They’re tau so old-fashioned now. Who wants to have ten twelve people sitting around a table talking bore bore things when you can have forty fifty socialistas. It’s not as though one’s going to have to wash the dishes later, God forbid.

Anyways, Janoo of course doesn’t understand social niceties. He says go to one place, the place where they want you the most and you stay there for whatever they’ve called you – if it’s khaana, then you eat, if it’s gaana then you listen – and then you take your leaf. And you say your sorrys to everyone else whose party you can’t make that evening. Loser hai kay nahin? Sometimes I think so Janoo, na he doesn’t inhibit the earth like the rest of us but that he comes from somewhere else. Like Mars or something. I think so I’m going to dominate him for this year’s Oscars. He can take best actor for The Martian.
