Rumour has it …
Although The Man of Steel & Co are celebrating, the fact of the matter is that they’ve got a favourable judgment by the skin of their teeth. Rumour has it that His Lordship III was on the other side, being a former junior of The Great Khan’s legal eagle. Had he remained on that side, it would’ve been curtains for The Man of Steel. But over a period of weeks, he was convinced of the wisdom of becoming part of The Trio. Isloo’s wags are also saying that all who matter had got wind of The Judgment a day before – just the gist and not the small print – and that’s why there was calm at The Man’s of Steel’s abode, and disappointment amidst The Great Khan’s horde.
A thousand words
Pictures, as they say, speak a thousand words. Before The Mother of All Judgments was announced, The Man of Steel’s stalwarts had collected around him. Amongst those present were his Talented Bro, Mr Bean, his other cohorts and one of his sons. There was some anxiety, although the gist of the decision was more or less known. A fly on the wall told us that when the two judges’ opinion was announced – concerning the disqualification of The Man of Steel – there was an anxious moment, with concern writ large on The Man’s face. But then it was quickly explained to him that their other three Lordships were not of the same opinion. Then there was relief all round. After this, congratulations were exchanged, and someone asked for sweets. Not so quick, Mr Bean cautioned, there’s more to come. He advised sobriety and caution, and also vetoed the idea mooted by someone that The Man of Steel should address the nation. He also advised that The Man & Sons should, without demur, present themselves to the Joint Investigation Team, to demonstrate their faith in the judicial system and the process as enunciated by Their Lordships. And so there we have it!
