Hearing their voice

It was good to see alienated and angry Pashtun reps in the Upper House; we hope their voice has been heard. It’s no accident that after months of consigning them to oblivion, a proactive senator decided to include them in the Upper House’s deliberations, but not a minute before permission was granted by You-Know-Who.

Night of long knives

The night of the long knives has begun. We’ve seen a major reshuffle amongst the Punjab afsarshahi, and most of Talented Bro’s team is back in the saddle. We’ve also heard that a reshuffle at the federal level was announced to a group of journos who were invited to meet Numero Uno recently. First to be nominated for the chop was the poor Min of Fin, while he was still negotiating with Christine’s team in DC. The next change to be revealed was that the Brig Who’s Back would inherit the Min of Int, currently the preserve of The Great Khan himself. As soon as the journos leaked this news, The Khan’s info team went into overdrive to deny it. But Pakistanis will see soon enough, that the long knives are out and there will be blood.

Flying visit

We hear The Great Khan’s boys visited the Fatherland last week, to attend a family wedding. It was what can only be described as a flying visit, touching down in Isbad for a couple of hours, driving down to Lahore with a security detail, attending the wedding and then flying out to London the next day. Surely, they could’ve spent some time with Dad.
