In a significant step toward digitalisation and judicial efficiency, the Supreme Court of Pakistan has introduced an e-filing system at the Institution Desk.
Effective from March 17, 2025, all advocates and parties to a case must submit both a physical (hard) copy and a scanned (soft) copy of their cases and applications at the Principal Seat and Branch Registries. The scanned version can be provided via USB or emailed to efiling@scp.gov.pk.
To encourage online filing, the Supreme Court is offering out-of-turn hearings for cases submitted digitally. Such cases will be scheduled for hearing within two weeks.
This initiative aims to reduce paperwork, speed up legal processes, enhance transparency, and improve accessibility in the judicial system. By promoting e-filing, the Supreme Court reinforces its commitment to a streamlined case management system, ensuring faster justice delivery and lower transactional costs.
