Much improved
Many of those who met young Bill on his recent visit to Lahore, were impressed with his Urdu, which they say is much improved. They say he spoke fluently and without grappling for words. Those who remembered his mum, the late lamented Big Ben, said his Urdu was better than hers when she began her political career. Our mole says Bill is being tutored by the best of the best, a scion of a distinguished Lakhnavi house, now residing in Karachi. Bill also said he would be moving to Isloo from Karachi, and would visit the Punjab often.
Throwing a tantrum
We hear The Great Khan threw a tantrum when he discovered that a television channel had invited his ex to a popular program, to speak her mind and doubtless spill some beans, if not the whole pot. His other objection was to the fact that a Khan impersonator would be sitting with his ex, adding hilarious fuel to an uproarious fire. The channel made the mistake of airing a promotional ad ahead of the program, and that set off a chain of plaintive complaining and a huge sulk, until the management gave in and pulled the program.
Adding spice
Talking of The Great Khan’s ex, our mole has revealed that since she returned to Pakistan and made a reappearance as a television anchor, she’s been trying to do some exciting programming. It was in pursuit of this that she took an apparently fraught young woman to a police station and asked her to confront the local Station House Officer with a complaint regarding an FIR. The SHO drew a blank, never having set eyes on the lady before, and when The Khan’s ex was out of earshot, he asked her why she was levelling the accusation. The young woman confessed to having been tutored thus, and also revealed that in fact she was the ex’s makeover artist who’d been roped in to add spice to the program.
