Senior University Of Gwadar Officials Allegedly Kidnapped In Balochistan

Four individuals, including senior officials of the University of Gwadar, were allegedly abducted by unidentified armed men in the Mastung district of Balochistan, according to local sources and officials.

The incident reportedly took place on Wednesday evening in the Khad Kocha area of Mastung. Sources stated that armed men riding motorcycles set up a road blockade and stopped the vehicle carrying the victims before taking them to an undisclosed location.

Those reportedly abducted include Vice Chancellor Prof  Dr Abdul Razzaq Sabir, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof Syed Manzoor Ahmed, lecturer Shakeel, and their driver.

A government official confirmed the incident and said that security agencies and the district administration have launched efforts to recover the abducted individuals. However, no further details regarding the kidnappers or the possible motives behind the incident have yet been disclosed.

The incident has caused concern among academic circles and the general public, particularly due to the targeting of senior university officials. 

Authorities have initiated an investigation, while recovery operations are said to be ongoing.

No group has so far claimed responsibility for the alleged abduction.
