Rumours galore
Earlier this week, there were rumours galore about the Quaid-e-Qiwam’s failing health and his admission to a London hospital. But if a disreputable Karachi wag is to be believed, the Quaid-e-Qiwam did a stint in hospital where he was given an overdose of a famous blue pill on demand. because he wants to kcuf his latest detractor, the former mayor MK.
The new silk route
The Pak-China road, which people say will be the New Silk Route, has lots of people smacking their lips and salivating with anticipation. We hear the khakis also want their slice of the cake. Sources say they have proposed to the Min in charge that all development of industry, plants, facilities etc. en route should go through an institution that they will set up, and man. No way, say the civvies, this is our job and we’ll do it as the Chinese want it done. Are we in for more handwringing on this one?
Darius’ descendants
Our mole in The Man of Steel’s sanctum sanctorum reports that his journey to see Al-King in the Land of Sand, accompanied by Bobby, had less to do with witnessing the marshaling of “fraternal fighters” and more to do with the pending visit of another neighbour’s head of state to Pakistan. Lest we forget, that neighbour and Al-King are at daggers drawn, and since we have to make obeisance to the latter whilst recognizing the rising reality of the former, some smoothening of ruffled feathers was required. The Man and Bob put Al-King’s apprehensions to rest, we hear, and apprised him of our need to do business with Darius’ Descendants.
