Missing In Action
We know that Shubber The Blubber has departed, following an argument with his boss. There have been many denials of this, but the fact remains that he is Missing In Action. Our mole predicts that Shubber The Blubber’s exit will be followed by others of his ilk and that the whole team is headed for an overhaul. We hear Shubber The Blubber has put in his papers but his resignation hasn’t yet been accepted.
Sugar daddies
The word was doing the round for weeks. Well-heeled traders and businessmen were advising each other to stock up on sugar, based on advice from “within”. Those who hoarded the white stuff are laughing all the way to the bank. Those who didn’t become Sugar Daddies, are ruing the day they missed the bus. But the question remains: who from “within” benefitted from this insider trading? Who advised their cronies to stock up? We hear The Great Khan is seized of this very question and has taken Dylan Thomas’ words to heart: “rage, rage against the dying of the light.”
Workers & owners
It was disappointing to hear whispers of what went on in a recent meeting between media owners and The Big Boss. A sensible voice raised the issue of including media professionals, editors and leading news anchors, in future meetings. But then a young media owner, who should have known better, repudiated the suggestion and said there was no need to meet “workers” when the “owners” were at hand. Sad.
