How the mighty are fallen
The once mighty Pasha of this realm is said to be seeking a fellowship at a certain college in London, offering to work on that hackneyed subject, “correcting the narrative on Pakistan”. Given that international institutions of learning aren’t particularly interested in this subject, we hear the Pasha has offered to bring in funding from his former alma mater. The London college has apparently said they will evaluate his proposal “on merit” but will not consider “funding”. Has the Pasha finally discovered that the pen is mightier than the sword, or is this a case of how the mighty are fallen?
Far worse
In an aside, Chory Shuj of Guj reportedly told a friend that the Sheikh of Pindi’s Lal Haveli had been confiding in him. Apparently, the Sheikh had confessed that he thanked the Lord that The Great Khan wasn’t head honcho, for “he’d be worse than The Man of Steel”! So much for political alliances!
Follow the leader
Just as The Great Khan went off to campaign, unsuccessfully as it turned out, for his former brother-in-law Zac Goldsmith in his London mayoral contest with Pakistani-origin Sadiq Khan, one of his closest lieutenants has done the same. We hear SMQ is in the US to endorse his friend Hillary Clinton, and to help campaign for her amongst the Pakistani-American community.
