Long leave

We hear The Great Khan has commanded his minions to call out his detractors in no uncertain terms. And those who don’t will fail an important test of loyalty, they’ve been told. After that, it was decided that a civilian agency would begin  proceedings against The Khan’s critics, regardless of whether there was a case to be made or not. A senior official was summoned and told just that, whereupon he said that his retirement was due in a few months, and that he would go on leave pending retirement. Meaning he could not do what was being asked of him.

Cacophony of criticism

Social media platforms are abuzz with what naysayers within The Great Khan’s horde are saying about their government. This cacophony of criticism has built up over time, with previously pliant journos taking the lead in censuring The Khan’s government. The journos were followed by camp followers who, though not in office, were recipients of favours and privileged access. They too began to sing a tune contrary to The Great Khan’s court musicians. Finally, some ministers and advisors have begun to distance themselves by taking issue with policies. Members of this latter group have also reached out to a gent who has the incarcerated Man of Steel’s ear and asked if they might be forgiven their transgressions.

Brave heart

In all the suffering visited upon The Man of Steel and his family this last year, one brave heart who stands out is the young teenaged daughter of The Daughter. This courageous child bears an uncanny resemblance to her late maternal grandmother and has the same spirit of resilience. Although devastated when her mother was arrested in her presence a few months ago, the young girl has rallied and offered to address jalsas, read out messages from her mother and grandfather and carry on the struggle.
