HISTORY: 100 Years of Peace Plans: All Failed?

For more than a hundred years, the world has searched for a solution to the Palestine question. From British colonial commissions and United Nations partition plans to Arab-led peace initiatives and the famous two-state solution, history is filled with ambitious ideas meant to end one of the world’s longest conflicts. But why has every major peace plan failed? In this video, we explained the full history of peace efforts for Palestine, beginning with the British Mandate and the Peel Commission, moving through the 1947 UN Partition Plan, Cold War diplomacy, the Oslo Accords, Arab Peace Initiatives, and the most recent international recognitions of Palestinian statehood. We examine what each plan promised, how it was received, and why it ultimately collapsed.
