The youth of the Nawarkhel community have stepped forward with renewed determination to strengthen unity and promote the welfare of the seven villages of Tehsil Razzar: Ismaila, Sardcheena, Dobian, Bazargi, Daulat, Mirali and Sardcheena Mira. Under the slogan “ایک نوار خیل، ایک آواز” (“One Nawarkhel, One Voice”), this emerging generation seeks to bring together the eighth lineage of Nawar Khan Baba and the community’s respected elders under a single, inclusive umbrella.
The Nawarkhel, a prominent sub-tribe of Mandanr in District Swabi, are known for their loyalty, sense of responsibility and active participation in social and local affairs. Over the years, members of the khel have excelled in education, government service, business, social development, technology and politics, strengthening both their social and economic standing while retaining strong cultural roots.
The new initiative focuses on social cohesion, digital governance and overall community well-being. Recent joint meetings across the seven villages approved a one-year development plan encompassing health, education, digital transformation, agriculture, social welfare and cultural preservation. To implement these goals, several committees have been established, including the Council of Elders and Youth, Health Services Committee, Education Committee, Social Work Committee, Social Media and Communication Committee, E-Agriculture Committee, Career Counselling Committee, Technical Education Committee, Coordination Committee, and Heritage Preservation and Development Committee.
“These committees will lead progress in education, health, skill development, social engagement and community-wide coordination,” said a community representative.
To support effective communication, the community is establishing official digital platforms, including a WhatsApp group, Facebook page and YouTube channel for announcements, awareness campaigns and community activities. A modern Community Management System has also been introduced to streamline administration, manage population records, family relationships, dispute resolution, event management and public registrations.
Social uplift remains a key priority. Programmes include career counselling, technical training, youth mentorship, women’s empowerment initiatives and improved health and education services. Environmental projects such as tree plantation drives, cleanliness campaigns and e-agriculture support are also underway.
Acknowledging challenges faced by the youth, the community has introduced mental health awareness and drug abuse prevention programmes. These will include workshops, counselling sessions, family-level awareness campaigns and connections to rehabilitation centres.
The Nawarkhel youth have also initiated partnerships with universities, non-governmental organisations and other institutions to expand educational and development opportunities through scholarships, training and community-based projects.
The slogan “ایک نوار خیل، ایک آواز” encapsulates the community’s commitment to unity, progress and constructive engagement with neighbouring communities.
