Humanity Above All: Driver Sacrifices His Life To Save Drowning Teen In Lower Dir

TIMERGARA, Lower Dir: In an extraordinary act of humanity and selflessness, a local driver lost his life while attempting to rescue a 15-year-old girl who fell into the Panjkora River near Zulam Bridge in Timergara.

According to Rescue 1122 Lower Dir, the incident took place three days ago when the teenage girl accidentally fell into the river. Her mother immediately jumped into the water in an effort to save her but was also caught in the powerful current.

Naveed Ur Rehman, a resident of Shingarai, rushed into the river without hesitation. He successfully rescued the girl's mother and brought her safely to the riverbank. Determined to save the girl as well, he entered the river for a second time. However, the strong currents of the Panjkora River swept him away.

Rescue 1122 teams conducted a three-day search operation before recovering Naveed Ur Rehman's body from the Garshmozai Bosaq area. He was later laid to rest in his native village. The search for the missing 15-year-old girl is still underway.

Naveed Ur Rehman's sacrifice has been widely hailed as a shining example of humanity, courage, and selfless service. He gave his life while trying to save another, leaving behind a grieving wife and children. His bravery has earned him lasting respect, and his sacrifice will be remembered as a symbol of humanity above all.
