The majority of 66 US congressmen who penned a letter to Secretary of State Antony Blinken in support of PTI chairman Imran Khan are anti-china, and pro Israel and India, said journalist Talat Hussain.
The communiqué – sent days after the former premier's arrest in the Al-Qadir Trust case – had urged the State Secretary to pressure the Pakistani government on 'the human rights violations', as police began a crackdown to arrest those involved in the unprecedent violence and unrest across the country.
Hussain shared the profiles of many of the signatory congressmen, and detailed their strong anti-China stance and campaigning for Israel and India.
The journalist also said that the details were public, and can be easily found via a simple online search.
Last month, a leaked zoom call of the PTI chief surfaced, wherein he had allegedly asked congresswoman Maxine Moore Waters to issue a statement to highlight the 'unprecedented' crackdown against his party.

Talking about the crackdown, he had said, "It’s probably one of the most critical times in our history…we have the most bizarre situation going on in this country."
“The situation is…why is my life in danger, because [of] military establishment and the current [lot] that’s in power," the former premier had allegedly said.
"Maxine, it would be very helpful…if you could verify this by yourself. We have the worst crackdown in our history; no democratic party has ever had such a violation of their fundamental rights."
"What we want from you is to simply find out by yourself. We would appreciate it because it goes a long way. When someone like you speaks out, it makes a lot of waves in our country," he had allegedly said.
Following Imran’s arrest in the Al-Qadir case, the workers went on a rampage as they torched vehicles, scuffled with police, and vandalised state building.
