Producer Ritesh Sidhwani has allegedly revealed that Shah Rukh Khan's Don 3 is now in the writing stage.
Farhan Akhtar's Don is one of the most popular Bollywood films ever made. Fans have been anticipating a sequel ever since the original one ended 16 years ago, in 2022.
The producer provided an update on another Don sequel on May 15. He claims that scripting is already underway for the third installment.
In an interview with Indian media, Sidhwani said: "We won't do anything till my partner (Farhan Akhtar) finishes writing it. He is now working on finishing the script. Even we are looking forward to seeing Don."
Don, starring Khan, was released in 2006. Priyanka Chopra, Boman Irani, Arjun Rampal, Rajesh Khattar, Pavan Malhotra, Om Puri, and Isha Koppikar also starred in the movie.
A sequel to the movie was released in 2011 and included Priyanka, Om, Rajesh, Boman, Kunal Kapoor, Lara Dutta, and other actors.
Shah Rukh Khan is now hard at work filming the action thriller 'Jawan' under the direction of Atlee. In Dunki, he will also work with filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani for the first time.
