But if the PTI chairman successfully brings a large number of supporters on the streets, the top judge may be able to implement his verdict because that's what he wants, analyst Muzamal Suharwardy told Khabar Say Aagay host Raza Rumi.
Reporter Imran Waseem said CJ Bandial has termed the references against Justices Iftikhar Chaudhry and Qazi Faez Isa 'political', whereas he decided in favour of the reference against judge Isa.
Law expert Ahmad Pansota pointed to the practice of filing FIRs with the police as complainant, in certain cases. He questioned the filing of all cases against the former premier in the same way.
Murtaza Solangi told the host that Imran's new allegations have political objectives. "He is not fighting a political battle," he maintained.

Last week, Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial said that the top court would not “sit idle” with regard to its decision for election on May 14 if the talks failed, as PTI protests loom large.
He observed that negotiations would only take place “if both the parties were interested”, and expressed displeasure over the two sides’ “lack of interest” for a substantial dialogue.
The top judge reminded the court that the apex court had given time to the two political parties to see if they agree on a date for polls, with PTI protests being imminent.
While reiterating that the court will uphold the Constitution, CJ Bandial adjourned the proceeding, saying an appropriate order will be issued later.
According to the Election Commission, it does not have the funds or the security to conduct elections in Punjab on May 14.
