Vawda Flays Khan Over Absurdity Of
Lashing out at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, former federal minister Faisal Vawda has said that the poor people of the country do not have anything to feed themselves, and in this condition, who will participate in Khan’s "jail bharo tehreek"?

While talking on a Geo News program "Apas ki baat", Vawda said that PTI is knocking on every door to restore ties with the establishment. "You can not imagine how much effort is being made," he added. He said Khan was never against the state institutions, but now he seems to be an entirely different man.

In response to another question, he stated that Imran Khan should not be arrested at this time. Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was very popular, but he was arrested and hanged, he said. Sending the party workers to jails will give no benefit to PTI, he added.

Vawda suggested Khan to take part in some productive things rather than using verbal abuse, having disputes with others, and urging party workers to fill jails to ensure the success of "jail bharo tehreek".

He said Khan should eliminate ‘bad people’ from the party and bring forward the right ones.

He also stated that PTI is nothing without Imran Khan, and Imran Khan is nothing without PTI. He also advised Khan not to follow the wrong suggestions of people around him.

On October 29, 2022, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan terminated the basic party membership of Faisal Vawda, days after a contentious press conference that was disowned by the party leadership.

In a press conference, he said the party’s march to Islamabad would be “bloody”, which was panned by the party leadership and spurred the issuance of a show-cause notice.

He was issued a show-cause notice and his party membership was suspended after his press conference — held that same day — was loaded with claims that were deemed to be “against party policies and guidelines”.
