'Establishment Is A Reality': Imran Khan
Former prime minister and chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan clarified that he is no longer in contact with the establishment “for now”.

Speaking to journalists at his Zaman Park residence in Lahore on Friday, Khan said that “the establishment is a reality and only it can play its role for the supremacy of law”.

“I used to stay in touch with [former army chief General retired Qamar Javed] Bajwa, however, he always asked me to think in a particular direction,” Khan alleged.

Imran Khan also asserted that the person holding the top office in the armed forces is “everything”, claiming that General (retired) Bajwa called then-opposition leader Shehbaz Sharif — while he was in jail on money laundering charges — to inquire about the latter's wellbeing.

“If [General retired] Bajwa wants to inquire about Shehbaz when he is in custody, then what is the fault of other prisoners,” the former premier questioned.
