Faiz Hameed All Set To Enter Politics As Imran Might Be Disqualified, Journalist Claims

The question now hinges on Faiz Hameed’s future following his much-hyped retirement. Is he planning to go behind the scenes or will he play an active role in the country’s politics?

Those close to him say that he intends to join politics, but not merely as a member of the Parliament, but in a much active role and a political career.

The fact is he has a fanbase in PTI, especially it’s social media followers. He has also had a role in forming the party and ensuring that it reaches the corridors of power.

This is why sources close to him think Gen Faiz sees himself as someone who can lead the party next. He is seen as more popular among the PTI circles than other stalwarts, such as Shah Mahmood, Asad Umer, and Pervez Khattak.

Faiz Hameed cannot enter politics for the next two years, but he wants to prepare for it, during this time.

From this perspective, he can very well take the PTI’s reins after the 2023 general elections. If PTI fails to return to power, its relations with establishment continue to deteriorate, and Imran Khan is disqualified, that will be the perfect time for Gen Faiz to make an entry into the ranks.

His preparations may include increasing his fanbase and projecting himself as the solution provider.

Will he be successful is a question for time to answer, but he does intend to play active political innings.
