Another Attack On Imran Khan's Life Is Likely As Per Intelligence Reports: IHC
Islamabad High Court (IHC) Chief Justice Aamer Farooq said on Friday that according to reports from intelligence agencies, there could be another attack on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan's life.

The chief justice issued these remarks while hearing a merged petition; one filed by PTI requesting a non-objection certificate (NOC) to host a sit-in protest in Islamabad, and another by traders opposing the road closures due to the proposed sit-in.

In an earlier hearing, Justice Farooq had sought a report from the inspector general of the Islamabad police, and he based his remarks today on the intelligence reports submitted to the court.

"It is the responsibility of the government and the state to look into the matter," said Chief Justice Farooq, while urging the PTI to file another petition as the current one had become ineffective.

He also said that it was not the court's place to recommend a place for the sit-in. “It is the administration’s discretion if they want to give permission for D-Chowk or F-9 park.”

It is pertinent to mention that Imran Khan was injured in a Wazirabad firing incident earlier in November. Gunshots were reported in the vicinity of the PTI chairman’s container earlier, and it later emerged that he had been injured in his leg.
