Rumours are rife that cricketer Shoaib Malik and tennis ace Sania Mirza have divorced.
Sania and Shoaib had gotten hitched among much fanfare and controversy in 2010. They have a son: Izhaan.
Sania’s cryptic Instagram posts fuelled the rumours. She had recently taken to the picture-sharing site to post a story on where “broken hearts” were expected to go. Her team remained unavailable for comments when reached by Gulf News. Geo received no comments either from Shoaib’s team.
Infidelity is being cited as the reason behind the split. Shoaib is alleged to have cheated on a Pakistani model-actor, according to an Indian news report. The two, it has been claimed, had featured in a headline-grabbing, ‘steamy’ shoot earlier.
