Coldplay Perform 'Baraye' In Support Of Iran's Freedom Movement
During their concert in Buenos Aires, the lead singer of the critically acclaimed British band, Chris Martin took a moment to speak about the freedom movement in Iran.

"We're going to sing a song now that is right now being sung by many people in Iran and many of the Persian diaspora, people who left Iran after the Revolution... young women and young people are fighting for their freedom, for the right to be themselves and we believe as a band everybody should be able to be themselves as long as you don't hurt anybody else and so we fully send our love and support to all those brave young people fighting for freedom," said Martin.

He proceeded to ask 'friend' Iranian movie star Golshifteh Farahani to join him on stage. "We're gonna send this from here to Iran, with love," said Martin. He also mentioned that the song was written by Hajipour Shervin who was in trouble with the authorities for just writing a song about freedom.
