The provincial government paid Rs 990 million for the vehicles to be used by officials of various departments of the government.

"Learned Senior Member Board of Revenue is accorded to incur an expenditure of Rs989.116 (Rupees Nine Hundred Eighty Nine Million One Hundred Sixteen Thousand only) on account of purchase of following 93 official vehicles," the memo read.

As per the document, the government purchased 40 Fortuners, 12 Corollas, and 41 Hilux's.

People are criticising the government for spending such a huge sum on additional vehicles during a time when the country is hit by an economic and flood-crisis.
