Viral Video: Badami Bagh Police Force Suspect To 'Bark Like A Dog'
Footage featuring police forcing an in-custody suspect to "impersonate a dog" has gone viral on social media.

The video, shared by journalist Iftikhar Bhatti on Thursday, has been retweeted over 6,000 times since it was posted. The bloodied suspect can be seen laying on the floor surrounded by policemen. The men can be heard ordering the suspect to impersonate a dog who obliges. He is then directed to bark like a canine too. The men can then be heard asked the suspect what his "pedigree" is.

Bhatti termed the footage a "disgrace to humanity" and demanded both: action against and punishment for the Badami Bagh SHO in connection with the incident in his tweet. He said  merely transferring the policeman won't suffice.

Police have taken notice. The official twitter handle of the Punjab police said Badami Bagh SHO Asif Jabbar had been transferred. A departmental inquiry had been initiated against him too. Lahore Operations DIG Afzaal Kauser promised "strict action" following the presentation of a report of the matter.

Blurred footage of the incident. Proceed at your own peril. Discretion is advised.
