Judges Should Apologise If Lifetime Disqualification Verdicts 'Not Sound': Journalist Nadia Naqi
Journalist Nadia Naqi said on Thursday the judiciary that had disqualified politicians should tender an apology if they believed the judgements were not sound.

Naqi made the remarks in flagship Naya Daur show Khabar Say AagayThis, Naqi said, constituted a miscarriage of justice.  The journalist said there was still time for the next chief of army staff to be appointed. It does not take a lot of time for things to change, she said. Naqi said the people still believed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan was a favourite.

Analyst Muzamal Suharwardy said prime minister Shehbaz Sharif appeared to be in the "safe zone" now. His tone exuded confidence today, he said. Sharif liked to play it safe, he said. Suharwardy liked the prime minister to a cricket player who would only leave crease only when certain he would not be ruled out.

He said Sharif was not of Imran's ilk that he would deliver pugnacious statements knowing very well that his fortunes were on a downward trajectory. Suharwardy said the PTI chief had also cautioned against taking the state on when he reportedly met COAS Bajwa at President House. Imran was told he had most to lose, Suharwardy said.

Flagship Naya Daur show Khabar Say Aagay streams every Monday to Saturday at 9pm.
