Instagram Artist Of The Week: Aleezah Qayyum
This week we're diving into the work of Aleezah Qayyum, known on Instagram as @alsoaleezaqayyum. Her work features earthy pastel tones, and mostly consists of oil on paper. We're big fans of how she adds a touch of abstract to the known and vice versa, by taking human — or human-esque — figures, and distorting them into a new being entirely.

23-year-old Aleezah did her undergraduate from the National College of Arts (NCA) in Lahore, where she got a Bachelors degree in Fine Arts. In April her work was displayed at the Falmouth Art Center, and at the exhibition she shared that the human body inspires her artwork.
