Weekend Picks: 5 Fun Things To See, Hear, And Do This Weekend
Thank God it's Friday! We couldn't be more excited; a weekend break from the monotonous and excruciating drudgery of life was very much needed. And now, we will sit back and enjoy, maybe watch our favorite show, or a movie, or attend a social event. Sounds like heaven, does it not? We encourage you to join us and do the same, and in fact, we're making things easier for you by bringing you another list of things to do.

We’ve created a list of everything that we think you should read, watch or do this weekend so that there’s never a dull moment in sight. Cheers to the weekend!

1. Movie: Notting Hill (1999)

Hugh Grant. Julia Roberts. Need we say more? It's light, it's funny and it's romantic. In short, it's the perfect thing to unwind to with a giant bowl of popcorn and a diet coke that you know you shouldn't be drinking. But it's okay, we won't tell.

2. TV Show: Schitt's Creek

An insanely rich family loses all its money and has to live in a small town and navigate life as a family of simpletons. Now that's a set-up for you. Insanely witty, and insanely funny, this show should definitely be on your to-watch list.

3. Song: CUFF IT - Beyonce

Queen B herself, folks. And this song is one that you might have heard endlessly on Tik Tok — we know we have. But there's a reason!! IT'S SO GOOD. Very catchy and very fun and great to hype yourself up with.

4. Book: My Brilliant Friend by Elena Ferrante

Elena Ferrante has a wonderfully nostalgic way of writing. Her imagery evokes feelings of such sweet remembrance and will be sure to move you. This beautiful story of an old friendship will make you want to check in on all your friends.

5. Activity: Musical Gig At Club 432

How about some live music by a talented singer? Or perhaps six talented singers? FM91 in association with Club432 is hosting a series of gigs in Karachi, with the first one taking place on September 24. The list of performers features fabulous people like Maria Unera and Nimra Rafiq, and all proceeds from the entry tickets go towards flood relief.
