An audio clip allegedly of former prime minister Imran Khan's wife Bushra Bibi has been leaked on social media, in which the former first lady can be heard giving instructions to Dr. Arslan Khalid, the former secretary of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) social media team, on how to use accusations of treason against opponents.
In the purported audio clip, Bushra Bibi is heard giving instructions to Khalid on how to deflect criticisms against PTI Chairperson Imran Khan and her own self. She tells Khalid to raise the issue of a “foreign conspiracy,” and run trends of treason against opponents, including former PTI leader Aleem Khan. She is also directing Khalid to raise the issue of relations with Russia, and to link it with treason too.
She is also heard informing Khalid that political opponents will speak against her friend Farah Khan. “You should not let it become an issue, but link everyone with treason,” she tells him.
In the clip, she also informs Arslan Khalid that the party's opponents have "compromised with traitors" and tells him that Aleem Khan and all other opponents, no matter how much they abuse them, must be linked with treason.
“It is all happening under a plan,” she tells Khalid about the party's opponents.
