Terrorists Planning To Assassinate Imran Khan, Warns CTD
Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD)’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa wing has issued a warning, saying terrorists are planning to assassinate Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairperson Imran Khan.

According to a report published by Daily Jang on Tuesday, the CTD stated that "terrorists are planning to assassinate Imran Khan, for which they have sought assistance from an assassin in Afghanistan".

The department also directed all concerned agencies to take all effective measures for the security of the former prime minister.

Meanwhile, in a tweet, PTI leader and former Punjab minister Fayazul Hassan Chohan said that “some people" have tasked a terrorist with assassinating former prime minister Imran Khan.

“I have details that some people have ordered a terrorist named 'Cochi' in Afghanistan to assassinate PTI Chairperson Imran Khan.”

A party worker also claimed that "the assassin has even acquired a residence in Islamabad or Rawalpindi".

Earlier, PTI leader Faisal Vawda had said that a conspiracy is being hatched to assassinate the former prime minister over his refusal to “sell the country”.

He had made these claims during a talk show in response to a question about a letter that Imran Khan had waved at the PTI’s March 27 rally in Islamabad and claimed it contains “evidence” of a “foreign conspiracy” to topple his government.
