PM Imran Orders Close Surveillance Of Sindh House To Track Lawmakers' Movement
Prime Minister Imran Khan has reportedly ordered civilian intelligence agencies to closely monitor the comings and goings at the Sindh House in Islamabad in an apparent effort to stop the ruling party's members from jumping ship.

The prime minister reportedly called for a daily briefing from intelligence officials on the movements, locations and mobile phone data of lawmakers staying at Sindh House.

Pakistan People Party (PPP) lawmakers had earlier called on the Government of Sindh to provide additional security to be allocated to the Sindh House, stemming from fears that the Islamabad police would conduct a raid on the building as they had against Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) workers at Parliament Lodges last week.

On Thursday, Federal Minister of Maritime Affairs Ali Haider Zaidi demanded an 'immediate inquiry' into Sindh House, claiming that approximately 400 officials from Sindh police had been deployed there with 'ulterior motives to sabotage the political system in the country', terming them the 'Zardari mafia's private army'.

Waving the carrot at the other end of the stick, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Defence Minister Pervaiz Khattak have been reportedly tasked with courting disgruntled PTI members back to into the party's folds.

Several PTI members have also reportedly suggested the prime minister call a parliamentary meeting of the party to see who attends and who is 'missing', according to sources speaking to Geo News
