MNA Mohsin Dawar Stopped From Entering Parachinar
MNA Mohsin Dawar was reportedly stopped by the local administration when a delegation of the National Democratic Movement (NDM) was on its way to attend the party's inaugural meeting in Parachinar, Kurram district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Thursday.

"I was on my way to Parachinar with a delegation of [the National Democratic Movement] to attend our party's inaugural meeting in District Kurram. Local administration stopped us and forced us out of the district," Dawar said in a post on Twitter.

Referring to the recent terrorist attacks across the country, the MNA of North Waziristan remarked, "Militants are allowed to move freely while we are not allowed to be with our people."

Last month, 12 militant attacks took place in KP alone, in which 15 people were killed (9 civilians; 5 security forces)  and seven people were injured (4 security forces; 3 civilians). In January, 42 Pakistanis died in terrorist attacks across the country.

Mohsin Dawar launched the NDM, a new political party, in September 2021.  The party stands for the promotion of a secular federal democratic parliamentary system, with particular regards to the less well-resourced provinces in the country.

“The state must provide protection and facilities to all religions and beliefs without prejudice, discrimination or interference,” the party's organizing manifesto reads. “The powers of the state and the government cannot be absolute and they will be bound to respect the fundamental rights of citizens outlined under the Constitution of Pakistan.”
