Govt Okays Use Of Firearms Against TLP Rioters: Reports
The government has allowed the use of firearms against the banned Tehreek-e-Labbaik (TLP) protesters who attack police and Rangers personnel, as per media reports.

Earlier today, a meeting of the National Security Committee (NSC) presided over by Prime Minister Imran Khan was held. Those present in the meeting agreed that the country's military leadership is on the same page with the political leadership over the matter of handling the banned TLP.

Geo quoted sources as saying that the prime minister said that the government of Pakistan would not expel the French ambassador. Saad Rizvi won't be released either, he reportedly said.

Sources were quoted as saying that the PM vowed not to let the TLP move to Islamabad. He said that the group has created chaos in the country. Prime Minister Khan also reportedly said that no negotiations would be held unless those who killed the policemen are handed over to the authorities.
