Kashmiri Students In Indian Colleges Tortured For Chanting Azadi Slogans During Pak-India Match
Many Kashmiri students in Indian colleges were beaten up during the cricket match between India and Pakistan when they celebrated Pakistan's performance by chanting Azadi (freedom) slogans.

Pakistan managed to beat India by 10 wickets, a match that was watched by millions of cricket fans across the world.

Indian media reported that several students at the Bhai Gurdas Institute of Engineering and Technology in the Sangrur district of Indian Punjab were tortured in their hostel rooms by students from UP and Haryana.
Another such incident was reported at the Rayat Bahrat University in Kharar.
Videos of pro-Pakistan students being beaten up were shared by students from the Bhai Gurdas Institute of Engineering and Technology.

Nasir Khuehami, the national spokesperson J&K Students Association, told media that Kashmiri students who were beaten up in Sangrur and Kharar Mohali informed that they were saved from the assailants by the locals and other Punjabi students. He added that students from Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana had broken into their rooms and beaten them up.

Further, a Kashmiri student claimed on social media that the security guard let the students from UP attack them.
