PML-N President and Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shahbaz Sharif has been asked by doctors to suspend all political activities and get “complete rest” after slipping on a staircase.

According to a tweet by PML-N Information Secretary Marriyum Aurangzeb, Sharif was on his way to a press conference when he slipped on some stairs at the party secretariat in Model Town Lahore. In this mishap, the PML-N leader fell on his back. Nevertheless, Aurangzeb added that “with the grace of Allah, he remained safe from a major injury.”

Reports indicate that doctors examined him and recommended physiotherapy, as well as a period of rest from his political engagements.
