Karachi Police Arrest 2 Men For Refusing To Get Vaccinated For Covid
Karachi police have arrested two men for refusing to get vaccinated against COVID-19. They were booked by the police who lodged a case against them at the Sohrab Goth Police Station.

Registered under the Sindh Epidemic Diseases Act, 2014, the case includes provisions about violating governmental orders.

Earlier, the Sindh Home Department wrote to the IG Police, Rangers DG and divisional commissioners, seeking registration of cases and fining people violation the Covid SOPs.
The Sindh government had decided that unvaccinated people would be arrested. This decision came after the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) issued fresh orders to expedite Covid vaccination in the country.

A notification issued by the provincial home department following the fresh orders said that travellers on the motorway should get vaccinated by September 20. Further, the notification said that buses and other equipment of transport companies would be confiscated if the passengers are found to be unvaccinated.
