Earlier on August 14, Tahir Zahoor and six workers of Therapy Works were arrested for allegedly hiding evidence.

During the proceedings of the case, the public prosecutor stated that the CEO came to know about the murder around 7 PM, but did not say anything to the police until 9 PM. The prosecutor further said that one of the employees, Amjad, who was said to have been attacked underwent a medical test as part of the investigation after which his injuries were termed an accident.

Counsel for the CEO, Barrister Zafar, stated that the name of the therapy centre’s workers was not mentioned in the FIR, adding that their names were added following the supplementary statement by prime accused Zahir Jaffer.

According to the lawyer, the employees had to break the door of the room when the reached the murder site because it was locked. Zahir Jaffer, they said, attempted to open fire at them but his gun was without bullets. After his failed attempt, he attacked the employee with a knife and injured him.
