Daily Dunya (10 October 2017) reported that Sheikh Rasheed had been incognito (ghayab) for many days, and that during this period he had been doing a tour of Qatar in secrecy (khamoshi). The report stated that he had gone to Qatar to obtain evidence for his LNG case against Prime Minister Khaqan Abbasi.

According to Daily Dunya (09 October 2017), Iranian president Hassan Rouhani said that even if ten of Donald Trumps joined forces, they could not harm Iranian interests.


On sin


It was reported by Daily Jang (09 October 2017) that Imran Khan stated at a rally in Buner that he considers it a sin (gunaah) to refer to the leader of the JUI-F as Maulana.


A call for orange revolution


Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif was quoted by Daily Jang (09 October 2017) as saying that his opponents feared that if the Orange Train project were completed, they would not be able to get votes from Lahore and Punjab. He further stated that in order to avoid a bloody (khooni) revolution, it was necessary to have an Orange Revolution.


Clerical error?


According to a report in Daily Jang (10 October 2017), investigation police in Lahore’s Sattu Katla area arrested two bandits (daku), who had 9 outstanding cases against them. Allegedly, in cahoots with the bandits, when presenting information on the suspects to court, the concerned officials entered the national ID card number of a third, unrelated individual, Anwar Shakil. The CCPO of Lahore has asked for an inquiry into the matter. Meanwhile a Sub-inspector stated that this was all due to a clerical error.


If Maulana were to do a dharna…


Daily Jang (10 October 2017) quoted Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman as saying that Imran Khan was acting on the behest of a foreign agenda, and that he knew very well whose peasants (mazarey) were participating in a sit-in at the capital. He added that if the JUI-F resorted to a sit-in, Islamabad would be insufficient to accommodate it.

It was reported by Daily Jang (10 October 2017) that a woman in New Delhi was still continuing her sit-in protest until Prime Minister Narendra Modi agreed to marry her.


Watch out!


The PPP’s Asif Zardari was quoted by Daily Jang (11 October 2017) as saying that the nation had to watch out for people like Nawaz Sharif and Imran Khan, and keep their children away too.


Jokers vs Neyk people


Daily Dunya (12 October 2017) quoted Saad Rafique as saying that Sheikh Rasheed was a political joker and that he did not take him seriously. He added that the residents of Raiwind are virtuous (neyk) people and that it was their prayers that kept Pakistan going.


Nobody speaks!


According to Daily Jang (12 October 2017), a National Assembly session had to be adjourned due to the clash between Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Mehmood Khan Achakzai. The latter was quoted as saying that if he were not allowed to speak, then the PTI would not be able to speak either. He stated that even if the session continued into the night, he would not let the PTI speak.

Tahir-ul-Qadri was quoted by Daily Express (14 October 2017) as saying that the real reasons for the Rangers being removed from the Judicial Complex were now becoming clear. He went on to allege that an attack (hamla) on the accountability court was the trailer to a film.
