Ayub Khan in London (1960)
Arshad Afridi, as the young son of Pakistan's legendary High Commissioner to Great Britain General Mohammad Yousuf, obtaining an autograph from President Ayub Khan in London during the latter's visit to the UK for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Conference in May 1960.

The Conference was notable since Pakistan and a few other non-European Commonwealth members spearheaded objections to South Africa's continuing membership because of its apartheid policy. Though opposed by British Prime Minister Harold Macmillan, it led to South Africa's exclusion.

During this visit, Ayub Khan invited Queen Elizabeth to Pakistan. The very successful state visit took place in February 1961. – Rehana Hyder
